GETTING STARTED

“As parents ourselves we understand how important it is to choose the right nursery for you and your little one. We also understand how difficult it is to leave your child in the care of someone new. Finding the perfect fit is important, We’ve worked hard to ensure that JollyTots has something to offer everyone.” – Nursery Manager

Before choosing Jollytots, we encourage you to come and look around our nursery with your child. This enables us to show you our fantastic facilities, and gives you the opportunity to meet our brilliant Jollytots team.

If, after a look around, Jollytots feels like the right fit (and we very much hope it does), we will then arrange a two-hour settling-in session for your child. This taster session is offered to help your child get used to the nursery, so they feel happy and secure on their official first day. Please be assured that if your child becomes distressed during this time, and we are unable to distract them, we will call you right away to come back to the nursery.

You are also welcome to ring the nursery as many times as you like during your child’s first few weeks and we will call/text you regularly to put your mind at rest that they are happy and having fun. We are always available to chat about any concerns you may have, as well as being on hand to offer support and guidance.

PARENT INFO

Our parent notice board is situated in the main entrance and offers a selection of different information for parents, including:

• Photos of the children playing and having fun

At Jollytots, we aim to help children get the best possible start in life, which will enable them to develop and reach their full potential irrespective of ethnicity, culture, religious beliefs, home language, family backgrounds, learning difficulties, disabilities or gender.

Here at Jollytots, we welcome children with special educational/additional needs, providing we can meet and accommodate the individual needs of your child. Wherever necessary we will seek additional support and assistance from outside agencies to enable your child to integrate fully and access all the fun play opportunities we offer.

The Early Years are a critical time to establish healthy eating habits, a healthy diet from an early age can provide considerable health benefits throughout life.

Children are offered a variety of nutritious and tasty snacks and meals. Our weekly menu is displayed on the parent notice board.

Water is provided throughout the day for the children.

Meals and snacks offered – we aim to offer a varied and balanced diet containing all the required nutrients for a growing child. We encourage healthy eating by offering a wide variety of food throughout the week. All our food is freshly prepared daily on the premises and we aim to provide the children with their 5 portions of fruit and vegetables within a full day. Our menus are changed weekly to ensure the children get to try new dishes. You will find a copy of our menus in the entrance area. All children have unlimited access to drinking water throughout the day and a choice of water or milk at snack and meal times. We cater to all dietary requirements, providing vegetarian alternatives or providing foods suitable for a child with an allergy. Please just let us know if your child requires a special diet and we will take every step necessary to provide it for them.
